| Sun Pharmaceuticals to fix record date for merger with Gujarat Lyka |
The Board of Directors of Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd (SPIL) will meet on April 8, 2000 to take on record the order by the BIFR sanctioning merger/amalgamation of Gujarat Lyka Organics Ltd (GLOL) with Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd wef April 1, 1999 and also to take on record the record date as fixed by the Board of Directors of GLOL for GLOL shareholders for allotting the shares of SPIL in exchange of the shares held by the shareholders in GLOL.

| Moser Baer MQ 2000 Net Profit up by 182 % at Rs 198 million |
Moser Baer Ltd has announced a net profit of Rs 198 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2000 as against Rs 70 million in MQ 99. The sales are up by 71.38 % at Rs 521 million. Other income is Rs 9/-million (MQ99 Rs 1/- million). The profits for the year ended March 31, 2000 are Rs 452 million, an increase of 121.56 % previous year figures of Rs 204 million. The annual sales are 48.37 % up at Rs 1503 million as against Rs 1013 million in financial year ending March 1999.
