Trading strategy for April 13, 2000

Satyam Computer: The stock has posted a rally of 40 per cent from its last week's bottom. Since the rally was of a corrective nature, no long positions are advisable at these levels. Immediate support for the stock lies at Rs 4335 and thereafter at Rs 4250. These levels can be used as a stop loss for long positions. On the upper side, the stock has an immediate barrier at Rs 4550.

Infosys: The stock has made a short term support at Rs 9975, below which long positions can be liquidated. Immediate resistance for the stock lies at Rs 10300 and thereafter at Rs 10500.

Wipro: Immediate and strong support for the stock lies at Rs 5275 below which can be used as a stop loss for long positions. Immediate barrier for the stock lies at Rs 5460 and then at Rs 5600. The stock has major support at Rs 4375. This can be used as a stop loss for medium term positions.

HDFC: The stock has been ruling very close to its major support level of Rs 435. This can be used as stop loss for all long positions. It has an immediate resistance at Rs 471 and thereafter at Rs 500. One can contemplate taking long positons above Rs 471 with a stop loss of Rs 445.

Digital Equipment: The stock has made a strong resistance at Rs 840. Above which, the outlook should improve. Immediate support exists at Rs 790. The next minor support is at Rs 770.

Global Tele: After making a strong resistance, the stock has broken its short-term support. The next support for the stock is at Rs 1950. On the upper side, it has a strong resistance at Rs 2140 and above this, the outlook should improve drastically.
