Market@July 24: Day's reportThe market witnessed a bloodbath across sectors on Monday. It was near panic in the market and the Sensex recorded a fall of 272 points -- highest drop in the last three months. Values opened weak in the morning, and the downtrend gathered momentum in the latter half of the day. The ratio of advances to declines was close to 1:3. Sensex down 272 points at 4191, Nifty down 87 points at 1311. Stocks like Himachal, Satyam, Zee Tele, Gloabl Tele, Pentamedia, DSQ Soft, Wipro, SSI, Silverline, L&T, Digital Equipment, SBI, Aptech, ACC, Rolta, Grasim and Mahindra & Mahindra all lost over 8 per cent.
