Market@May 24: Day's reportA sharp drop on Nasdaq badly affected opening prices of domestic software stocks. However, after a dull movement in the first half, values improved in the second half. Stocks like Himacahl Futuristic and Global Tele led the rally. Other software stocks also showed smart rally from their lows. However, in the last ten minutes, ITC came under strong selling pressure and affected the sensex close. Meanwhile, other non-software stocks remained dull. Trading volume was comparitively low. Himachal Futuristic, Infosys, Satyam Comp, Global Tele and Silverline topped the volume charts accounting for 53 per cent of the total traded volume on the BSE. Sensex down 9 points at 3934.
