Market@February 22: Day's reportSoftware stocks remained volatile. After witnessing panic selling during the first half, stocks recovered sharply. Himachal triggered the recovery. From a lower circuit of 8 per cent, the counters managed to turn positive during the second half. Finally, it was down by 2 per cent. Tata Elxsi, meanwhile, hit 16 per cent upper circuit. HCL Info also gained 6 per cent. Other stocks also managed to show a sharp recovery from their respective lows. Old economy counters also attracted selling pressure and volatility was witnessed on cement counters. ITC was major gainer. It gained 4 per cent. Reliance also showed a smart recovery from the day's low during the second half of the day. Sensex down 40 points at 4262. Nifty down 14 points at 1356. Sensex:
