Market@March 23: Day's reportFor the fifth consecutive Friday, the market showed a sharp dip. Tech stocks witnessed strong selling and dipped sharply. Himachal and SSI lost more than 9 per cent each. Digital, Wipro, Global, DSQ Software and Silverline also dipped more than 7 per cent each. The old economy counters also remained under selling pressure for a major part of the day. Ranbaxy, ACC, RPL, SBI, L&T, Dr Reddy's Laboratories, Grasim, Tata Power, Gujarat Ambuja, Telco and Reliance lost significantly. The trading volume improved marginally. Sensex down 79 points at 3635.
