Merry times ahead for liquor lovers

Liquor lovers can say cheers merrily as quantitative restrictions on imports have been removed from Saturday on whiskey, rum, vodka, beer and a variety of wines.

The items also included sparkling wine, red wine, sherry and other still white wines, port wine, vermouth, rectified spirit, beer from malt, liqueurs and cordials.

Restrictions on a total of 20 categories of liquor have been removed.
