How is it that our movies have been able to resist western influence in the sense that we still have 5-6 songs in our movies, dancing around trees, changing clothes every second, which is so unique only to indian mainstream movies

Javedji, I have almost stopped going to the movies these days.. one can almost foretell the next move...its no longer fun / gripping nor interesting...the least attractive is the gyrating to senseless mechanical "music" How can you be a party to such non-sense, if you are a true shair? How about the sensibilities of the people who have to sit through these things?

Javed Sahab: You set a new trend in film songs by making song a little story by itself. But does not this limit your freedom as you have to know the story of the movie to be able to write this kind of songs? You can not have a song bank. If the supply is limited in a period of great demand the consumer would go to a next supplier most likely an imitater. Also tell me about your unique diction, is it cultivated or came natural to you
