Azhar remains incommunicado
Mohammed Azharuddin, banned for life by the Board of Control for Cricket in India for his alleged involvement in the match fixing scandal, remained incommunicado Tuesday.
" Saab (Azhar) does not want to speak now. If there is
anything he will communicate," a security guard told a battery of cameramen and reporters waiting outside his posh Banjara Hills residence in Hyderabad.
Ever since the match-fixing scandal broke, Azhar has been tight-lipped and never entertained anyone from the press. Even to depose before the board inquiry commissioner, K Madhavan, Azhar entered the hotel from backdoor while the media was waiting at the hotel lounge.
After the grilling was over, Azhar briefly posed before
cameramen and left the hotel without speaking a word. He did
not speak to media even at Delhi while appearing before the
BCCI disciplinary committee recently.
