Media persons denied access to Prabhakar
Police and hotel security staff prevented media personnel waiting at the lobby of Raddison
hotel from asking questions to Manoj Prabhakar, who appeared
before the BCCI's inquiry commissioner, K Madhavan, in Madras in connection with match-fixing charges.
About 60 journalists, including those from the electronic
media, were pushed around by police as they rushed to question
Prabhakar when he came out at 13.30 hours.
The former all-rounder, who was staying in an adjacent hotel, walked to the Raddison hotel for the inquiry, but drove away in a car.
Details of the inquiry were not known.
"I'll come back to you," was Prabhakar's response to
journalists who wanted to know if he was not going to talk to
them.
