Performance of Indian batsmen
was pathetic: Borde

The chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India's selection committee, Chandu Borde, on Monday expressed dismay over India's 'pathetic' performance in the third Test against the West Indies, saying the team lacked application, grit and resolve.

Reacting to India's humiliating 10-wicket defeat in the third Test at Barbados on Sunday, Borde said even the good batsmen failed to live up to expectations.

"Though losing and winning is part of the game, one expected the Indian batsmen to at least put up a good fight," he said.

India should adopt a more positive and determined approach in the next match, Borde added.
