Jacobs dedicates century knock to his mother

West Indies wicketkeeper Ridley Jacobs said on Tuesday his career-best Test century was a belated Mothers' Day gift.

"I wanted to dedicate this to all the mothers in the world for Mothers' Day," Jacobs said. "It may have been a bit late, but I wish all of them well. This one is for my mother."

Mothers' Day was on Sunday.

The 34-year-old had been dropped for Junior Murray for the first two Tests of the series due to a lacklustre performance with the bat against Pakistan at Sharjah earlier this year.

He got a duck in his comeback match at Barbados last week but hit back in his home ground at Antigua with a breezy 118 that included five huge sixes.

"It's a great feeling," he said. "Getting a century at home is always something you want to do and it's a dream come true."

Jacobs brought up his hundred with a big six over mid-wicket and celebrated by raising his arms as some members of the crowd raced on to the field to hug him.

His knock helped West Indies pile up 629 for nine in reply to India's first innings 513 for nine as the fourth Test ended in the draw.

The fifth match starts in Jamaica on Saturday with the series tied 1-1.
