Chandrababu Naidu sworn inShireen in Hyderabad Telugu Desam Party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu was sworn in as Andhra Pradesh chief minister at 0936 hours today. This is Naidu's his second term. The oath of office and secrecy was administered by Governor C Rangarajan at the state Raj Bhavan. Former Central Bureau of Investigation chief K Vijayarama Rao, P Ashok Gajapathi Raju, T Devender Goud, A Madhav Reddy, B V Mohan Reddy, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and Vadde Sobhanadeswar Rao were sworn in as cabinet ministers. Sarawati is the lone woman member in the ministry. Before the swearing in ceremony, Chandrababu Naidu paid floral tributes at TDP founder N T Rama Rao's samadhi in Hyderabad. Present at the swearing in ceremony were Chandrababu Naidu's wife Bhuvaneswari, his son Lokesh, film-maker D Rama Naidu, who has won from the Bapatla Lok Sabha constituency, and Andol MLA and film star Babu Mohan. Addressing TDP legislators after his election as the party's legislative party leader yesterday, Naidu said the party has decided to formulate an action plan for the state's development. The plan will be drawn up keeping in view the party's poll manifesto and the Vision 2020 document. The Telugu Desam parliamentary party, comprising the 29 newly elected Lok Sabha members besides the Rajya Sabha members, will meet this evening. The TDPP is expected to discuss the issue of the TDP's participation in the National Democratic Alliance government led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The TDP has already announced outside support for the NDA government.
