Did actor Dharmendra, who is contesting from Bikaner, Rajasthan, on a Bharatiya Janata Party ticket, hide any information while filing his nomination papers?

Yes, according to the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee's minority cell vice-chairman, Akhtar Beg, and Indore city Congress vice-president K K Mishra.

On April 15, the two filed a case in the court of First Class Judicial Magistrate Narendra Jain in Indore, alleging that Dharmendra had violated the Hindu Marriage Act and Islamic Shariyat by not disclosing that he changed his name and religion in order to get married to actress Hema Malini 24 years ago.

They claimed that he was 'Dilawar Khan', as he got married on May 2, 1980, by changing his name and religion.

They also alleged that Hema R Chakravorty (Hema Malini) had changed her name to 'Aayesha'.

The court asked the complainants to record their evidence on April 19, advocate Shailendra Dwivedi, who appeared on behalf of the Congress leaders, said.

The Congressmen also filed a complaint with the Election Commission, demanding that the actor's nomination be cancelled.
