Prime Minister to powwow with Amartya Sen in DelhiPrime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today wrote to Nobel prize winner Amartya Sen expressing a desire to discuss issues relating to development and economy of the country. Vajpayee is leaving for Andaman and Nicobar islands this evening. From there he will go to Bangalore to attend the Bharatiya Janata Party national executive meeting on January 2 and 3. He will address a public rally at Bangalore on January 4 and return to the capital in the night. Hence, the meeting can take place earliest on January 5. ''The meeting will be fixed at a mutually convenient time,'' party spokesman K L Sharma told newsmen in New Delhi today. Sen is expected to reach Delhi today. UNI |
