A perky protest: 'Gimme better pay. Else, I'll work non-stop'More than 6,300 National Thermal Power Corporation executives will observe a 'protest day' in the country by working for 48 hours non-stop, beginning February 8 to draw attention to their demands for better pay and service conditions. The NTPC Executives' Federation of India said the ''Japanese Style'' protest was against the non-implementation of their long standing demands like establishing parity with oil sector public undertakings, review of generation incentive scheme, compensation for six-day working at projects and stations and reimbursement of electricity charges to city-based employees.
