Market@June 12: Day's reportThe sentiment remained negative for a major part of the day. Selling pressure was evident in software counters. A large number of software stocks showed a negative close. However, Silverline and Digital Equipment showed a positive close. The non-software segment also remained depressed and a large number of pivotals showed a negative close. Trading volumes were relatively low. Himachal, Silverline, Satyam Comp, Zee Tele and Infosys topped the volume chart accounting for 53 per cent of the total trading volume on the BSE.
