Market@June 22: Day's reportThe sentiment remained negative on Thursday. The software stocks opened firm but weakened thereafter. Silverline was the weakest counter and did not show a major recovery while other software stocks showed a recovery led by SSI. Global Tele also showed a good move from the low. DSQ Soft also touched its upper circuit of 8 per cent and showed a good close. Meanwhile, the non-software segment remained dull and stocks like SBI, Tisco, MTNL and L&T showed mixed trend. Reliance remained in limelight. In the first half, it showed a sharp fall which was fully recovered later. It showed a gain of more than 6 per cent. In fact, for the first time in the last few months, the stock was amongst the top five traded counters. HLL and ITC also showed good gains helping the sensex to recover lost ground.
