CBI allows BoI chief to go after questioningThe CBI on Wednesday denied that it had arrested the Assistant General Manager of Bank of India in connection with the Rs 1.37-billion pay-order scam and said he was picked up in Bombay only for questioning. Highly-placed CBI sources had said on Tuesday that B H Somaiah had been taken into custody following his questioning. "Somaiah was only picked up for questioning" and he had been allowed to go after his examination, a CBI official said. Somaiah has already been suspended by the bank along with deputy chief manager Suvarna for "procedural violations". ALSO READ:
