Convention centres to be set up in Delhi, Mumbai

The government has decided to set up convention centres in metropolitan cities of Delhi and Mumbai and one each in states of Goa and Rajasthan.

Announcing this in the Lok Sabha, Finance Minister Jaswant Singh said with this, Goa will have suitable facilities for holding international film festivals.

In order to make the effective use of Jaipur convention centre, the airport in the Rajasthan capital will be converted into an international airport, he said.
