BJP retains Agra East seat![]() Jagan Prasad Garg of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the Agra East assembly seat in Uttar Pradesh, beating his Congress rival Govind Agarwal by 4,772 votes in a multi-cornered contest. The BJP retains the seat. A total of 14 candidates were in the fray. Garg polled 34,586 votes while Agarwal got 29,814. Ramesh Babu Khushwaha (Bahujan Samaj Party) finished third. UNI |
