Probe into rail mishap beginsDr N Mani, chief commissioner, railway safety, today began on-the-site investigation into Monday's collision between the Awadh-Assam Express and the Brahmaputra Mail. More than 280 bodies have been extricated so far as rescue workers with cranes and gas cutters continued their operations. ''The toll might go up as two more mangled coaches are yet to be opened,'' sources said. Thousands of people from adjacent areas crowded the accident site making rescue operations difficult. UNI
