Goa BJP vice-president quits partyPandurang Raut, who contested the Panjim Lok Sabha seat and lost to the Congress narrowly in the last election, has quit the Bharatiya Janata Party. Raut was vice-president of the party. Raut, who started his political career with the Maharastrawadi Gomantak Party, has a history of defections in the past 10 years. He has been in practically every political party in the state and was a minister in the governments of Ravi Naik and Wilfred de Souza. UNI |
