On July 17, a beach bash, between 11 am to 5 pm at Sea Cliff Beach, Santa Cruz. Included are food, drinks, volleyball, frisbee, football, sand, and sun!

Camping Trips: NetIP-SFBA and NetIP-LA host a camping weekend at Yosemite National Park, July 30, and August 1, at 1 pm.

The campers will stay in semi-luxury tent cabins (with real beds) near the base of one of the most beautiful spots in the world -- Halfdome. The group leaves at 1 pm on Friday, July 30 from the peninsula. NetIP will provide the transportation.

During the weekend, hike leaders will take the campers on various scenic trails throughout the park. On Saturday night, there will be a together as one big group with NetIP-LA.

After some hiking and sight seeing on Sunday, the group will return to the Yosemite base and get back in the bay area on Sunday night. The charge is $75 for members and $100 for non-members. Payment does not include meals.

NetIP is organizing a summer fun program for the kids that are part of the Indo-American Center in Santa Clara. This is a community center located in the south bay that is open to all south Asians.

NetIP is looking for volunteers to participate in this program. Ideas for activities are welcome. So far the ideas have ranged from having an art class, taking participants to a museum, hiking and going to plays and acting.
