Russia voices concern over Kargil intrudersRussia has expressed hope that the Kargil crisis would be resolved within the framework of the existing pacts between India and Pakistan, while articulating its grave concern over the ''penetration'' of armed groups into Kashmir. Kremlin's stand was made explicitly clear during talks between Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin and Pakistani envoy Mansur Alam last evening, according to a Novosti report. The deputy minister hoped that the present crisis on the Line of Control would be resolved within the framework of the Indo-Pak dialogue in Lahore and the Simla Agreement of 1972. Karasin said the agreements provide a basis for a peaceful solution to the existing problems. He told the Pakistani envoy that Moscow was looking forward to the resumption of bilateral talks between Delhi and Islamabad. UNI
