Tapes are false: PakIslamabad had dismissed as false the transcripts produced by India 'proving Pakistan army's direct involvement' in the Kargil infiltration. ''I give no weight to these transcripts of supposed conversations," Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence public relations director, Brigadier Rashid Qureshi told the media soon after Indian External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh released the transcripts of two secret tapes to the media. The tapes featured the 'conversations' between Pakistan army Chief General Parvez Musharraf, who was in China, and Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Mohammed Aziz in Pakistan on May 26 and 29. ''These two tapes and the transcripts have been authenticated through voice authentication and printing,'' the minister said. The conversations ranged on a wide variety of issues related to the conflict. "If there is any such thing I would like to hear it. I have no doubt it is all absolutely false," said Brigadier Qureshi who had admitted Pakistan army's involvement in the infiltration.
