Three ITBP personnel killed, 12 injured in powerful blastMukhtar Ahmed in Srinagar At least three Indo-Tibetan Border Police personnel were killed and 12 injured, six of them critically, in a powerful mine blast at Nowgam on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway today. Official sources said militants detonated a powerful explosive device when the bus carrying ITBP personnel from Srinagar to Jammu reached Nowgam. The sources said three ITBP personnel were killed on the spot. The injured have been taken to hospital. This the second blast in less than a week in the same area. In an earlier explosion on the highway, two army officers and a colonel's son and daughter were killed and six injured on May 28.
