I-T search operations continueIncome-Tax officials are continuing with search operations at various offices and residential premises of two bookies, close relations of Indian cricket team coach Kapil Dev and that of Sangeeta Bijlani, the wife of former skipper Mohammad Azharuddin, in Bombay today, according to I-T sources. The countrywide search and 'survey' was launched yesterday on some top cricketers, bookies and cricket board officials by the I-T director general (investigation), along with the Central Bureau of Investigation, which is probing the cricket match-fixing scandal. The 'survey' was carried out at the premises of a company having telecast rights to cricket matches. At the cricket board's office at Brabourne Stadium in south Bombay, the CBI last night sought details of PILCOM records (1996 World Cup) and recorded statements from board executive secretary Sharad Diwakar. Two flats in Poona and eight bank lockers have been sealed, while jewellery worth Rs 11 lakh was seized from a bookie, the sources added. PTI
