12 students drown in AP

Twelve students drowned at three places in east and west Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday evening.

Police here said that six students of the Bhimavaram SRKR engineering college drowned at Chinagollapalem village in west Godavari.

At the Pinjarakonga waterfalls in east Godavari district, two students from Rajahmundary were washed away when they tried to cross the canal with the help of a rope.

In east Godavari district, three students were swept away at Kakinada beach, while in Vadalarevu beach another student drowned.
