Lone meets Musharraf: PTI

Musharraf and Lone were together for one-and-a-half hours, said Sher Dil, Pakistan-based leader of Lone's People's Conference, adding that the Hurriyat leader was "satisfied" with the meeting.

Syed Yousaf Nasim, former convener of the Pakistan chapter of the Hurriyat Conference, quoted Lone as saying that Musharraf was sincere and committed to finding a peaceful solution to the Kashmir issue.

Nasim told reporters that Musharraf had reiterated his readiness to hold talks with India at any level and at any place to peacefully settle the Kashmir problem.

"I found Musharraf committed on Kashmir," Lone was quoted by Nasim as saying after the meeting.

It was Lone's first formal meeting with any Pakistani leader since he arrived in Pakistan to attend the marriage of his son Sajjad with the daughter of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front leader Amanullah Khan on November 19 in Rawalpindi.

Prior to his meeting with Musharraf, Lone attended the first formal meeting of Kashmiri leadership from both sides of the Line of Control.

Though the leaders refused to officially divulge details about the deliberations, the Ramazan month-long ceasefire offer by the Indian government is said to have dominated the proceedings.

A Kashmiri leader, who attended the meeting, said the discussions remained inconclusive and another detailed meeting will be held on November 28.
