Minister of State for Industrial Development Fateh Bahadur Singh told newspersons in Lucknow that the decision to withdraw support to the Bharatiya Janata Party-led coalition government was Naresh Agarwal's 'personal' one and most of the LCP MLAs were not with him.
Agriculture Minister Diwaker Vikram Singh said the decision should not have been taken by an individual but by the party's legislature group.
The chief minister had the prerogative to drop any minister from the cabinet, he added.
Diwaker Singh, however, made it clear that any decision on the future course of action of the LCP would be taken collectively.
