Attackers storm into Darjeeling
civic body chief's chamber

Police said the attackers armed with kukris barged into the chamber of D K Pradhan. He was not in his office at the time of the incident.

Employees of the civic body overpowered one of the three attackers and handed him over to police while two others managed to escape.

Police were interrogating the assailant, Darjeeling Superintendent of Police Sanjay Chander said.
