MiG crashes in Rajasthan,
pilots bail out

Two pilots of a MiG 23 aircraft of the Indian Air Force escaped unhurt when they bailed out of the plane shortly before it crashed near Jodhpur, police said in Jaipur on Friday.

A woman on the ground was injured when the aircraft crashed and caught fire after an explosion, they said.

The air control tower lost contact with the aircraft soon after it took off from Jodhpur Air Force Station on a training flight on Thursday and crashed near Thumbali Dhani village.

The occupants were a squadron leader and a flying officer, they added.
