In a strike ahead of the month-long annual Amarnath pilgrimage, militants on Friday engineered an IED blast on the route to the Himalyan shrine in Jammu and Kashmir.
Four Border Security Force jawans were injured in the blast.
Officials said the IED was planted at Athnar, 8 km from Pahalgam, which serves as the base camp for the yatra. The explosion occurred when a BSF vehicle crossed over it around 9.30 am.
The condition of the injured jawans is stated to be "stable," sources said, adding the vehicle suffered minor damage.
The BSF party was on its way to Chandanwari in connection with the arrangements being made for the annual pilgrimage, scheduled to begin on July 4.
