Kamla Bora in Jaipur
President Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan may land in Jaipur on his way to the dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti at Ajmer.
Though the Rajasthan government is yet to receive formal intimation of the visit, the state police and other agencies have already started taking measures to improve the security at Jaipur's Sanganer airport and at the Ajmer dargah.
The security agencies are apprehensive that some terrorist outfits may try to create communal disturbances to derail the peace talks between India and Pakistan.
Recently, an accomplice of international terrorist Osama bin Laden was arrested in Udaipur.
But Rajasthan police officials are confident that Musharraf's visit will go off smoothly with overall security being taken care of by central agencies and the state police playing a supportive role.
Since Ajmer does not have an airport, Musharraf is expected to land in Jaipur and then take a chopper to Ajmer.
Most visiting VIPs normally arrive at the Sanganer airport and take a helicopter to Ajmer.
Musharraf's two predecessors, the late President Zia-ul-Haq and Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, took the same route to Ajmer on their visits to India.
