At least fifteen people were killed when a boat carrying thirty passengers capsized in the Ganga in Malda district of West Bengal early Saturday morning.
The accident occurred while the boat was on its way from Rajmahal Ghat to Manickchak Ghat.
While some passengers managed to swim back ashore, others were swept away by the strong currents.
Divers have so far recovered three bodies -- a woman, a man and a child.
Senior police and district officials have rushed to Malda.
