One killed, 14 hurt in J&K blast

A person was killed and 14 others were injured in a grenade explosion triggered by militants at a busy bus stand at Batmaloo in Srinagar on Saturday, official sources said.

The grenade was targeted at a security picket in the area, at 1425 hours IST, they said.

However, the device missed the target and exploded on the road, injuring pedestrians, including three women.
