Shanmugham elected CLP
leader in Pondicherry

P Shanmugham is likely to get a fresh lease of life as the chief minister of Pondicherry following his re-election as the Congress Legislature Party leader.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who was authorised on Friday by the state unit of the party to name the CLP leader, approved Shanmugham's name on Saturday.
