Sena wants NDA to take
Ayodhya on its agenda

The Shiv Sena, a key constituent of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance government at the Centre, in an apparent effort to emerge as a true champion of Hindutva, on Tuesday stressed the need for the NDA to take the vexed Ayodhya temple issue on its agenda.

"The feelings of majority Hindus need to be honoured in this country and the NDA should take on its agenda the Ram temple issue," firebrand party MP Sanjay Nirupam told reporters as the two-day mahashibir of the Shiv Sena got underway in Shirdi in central Maharashtra.

The Ram temple is a matter of heart and faith and should not be allowed to linger on in courts of law, Nirupam said.

To clear obstacles in the way of constructing a Ram temple at Ayodhya all countrymen must make concerted efforts, the Shiv Sena leader said.
