All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam chief J Jayalalithaa on Sunday claimed that there would be no change in the political situation in Tamil Nadu after the assembly bypoll in Andipatti, from where the former Tamil Nadu chief minister is contesting.
"The AIADMK is currently in power in the state, and would continue to be in power after the byelection," she said in Chennai, after paying homage to the late C N Annadurai, one of the leaders of the Dravidian movement, at his memorial.
Jayalalithaa is expected to take over the reins of power from the current Tamil Nadu chief minister, O Panneerselvam, if she wins the bypoll in Andipatti.
