"We will be moving the pillars from our workshop at Karsevakpuram to the Ram janambhoomi site at 1415 hours on March 15," VHP senior vice-president Acharya Giriraj Kishore said.
Kishore said the VHP's Mandir Nirman Samiti (temple construction committee) would meet in Ayodhya on March 14.
Asked about the government's assurance to the opposition at the all-party meeting on Tuesday night that the status quo regarding the acquired land would be maintained, Kishore said, "Nothing can be ruled out in politics."
Kishore, however, clarified that the 'actual construction work would begin only in an amicable atmosphere'.
"How can a temple be built in an atmosphere of tension?" he asked.
About 100,000 VHP activists and supporters would converge on the temple town on March 15 to begin the process of construction, he said.
The sangh parivar outfit also expressed hope that the government would hand over the acquired land to it by March 12.
The VHP leader dismissed apprehensions of any communal trouble but said the activists were prepared to court arrest if the administration prevents them from moving the material to the site.
