The Vishwa Hindu Parishad rejected Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's appeal to postpone its Ram temple stir in Ayodhya.
"We have no authority to postpone the plans. Only the Dharmacharyas (religious leaders) can take a decision. We will start moving the carved pillars to the site at 1415 hours on March 15," VHP Senior Vice-President Acharya Giriraj Kishore said on Wednesday when asked about Vajpayee's appeal.
"Let them (the prime minister and the government) now appeal to the religious leaders," he said.
Asked whether VHP was rejecting outright Vajpayee's appeal, he said, "It is not a question of rejecting or not rejecting. It has to be give and take."
On the apprehensions expressed by Home Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani that the assembly of thousands of Karsewaks in Ayodhya could lead to law and order problems, Kishore said, "There will be no violence from our side."
