'VHP has discredited itself'

The Babri Masjid Action Committee on Saturday reacted sharply to the Vishwa Hindu Parishad's stand that it would not accept the court verdict on the Ayodhya issue.

"By challenging the judiciary, VHP has harmed itself and even those who were supporting it would distance themselves from it," BMAC secretary Jaffaryab Jeelani said.

He said that nobody in the country would accept that court orders would not be followed.

The Congress also assailed the Sangh Parivar outfit for changing its stand frequently.

"They had given commitment to honour the court verdict. VHP, by changing its stand, shows that its intentions are not clear," party leader Motilal Vora said.
