AIBMAC to consider any demand routed through SC

All India Babri Masjid Action Committee on Tuesday said that it was ready to consider any proposal for construction of a temple outside the disputed Ayodhya site, provided it was routed through the Supreme Court.

"We are ready to consider any demand for construction of a temple in an area outside the graveyard of about 8.5 bighas and 23 plots of nazul area... but that has to be routed through the Supreme Court," its convenor Zafaryab Jilani told Star News.

The temple construction activity should be outside the area where shilanyas was carried out and the Ram chabutra existed, Jilani said, adding that Supreme Court verdict was binding on both the VHP and the BMAC.
