Ayodhya Cell in-charge arrives in Temple Town

Shatrughan Singh, the in-charge of Centre's Ayodhya Cell, arrived in Ayodhya on Friday to be present at the Vishwa Hindu Parishad's shila daan ceremony in the afternoon.

Ram Janambhoomi Nyas president Ramchandra Das Paramhans has demanded the presence of a senior central official at the ceremony at Ramkot Mohalla, when he offers the shila to the Receiver for the acquired land A K Gupta.

Paramhans has said that he has no faith in Gupta, who is also the divisional commissioner of Faizabad.

He also said that Gupta had converted Ayodhya into a jail and was acting on the behest of a party opposed to construction of Ram temple.

VHP sources said Paramhans wanted to make the Centre a direct party to the issue by demanding presence of a senior official at the ceremony.
