Malaysia's high court on Monday postponed till Tuesday the review of India's request for extradition proceedings against Italian businessman Ottavio Quattrocchi, who is sought by New Delhi to stand trial in the Bofors payoff case, following a bomb scare in the court.
The police received a call, shortly before the start of hearing of an appeal by deposed deputy premier of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim against his convictions, saying a bomb was planted in the courtroom, officials said as they cleared the area.
The courts were immediately adjourned for the day.
Quattrocchi argues that New Delhi has made no criminal case against him and its actions are 'politically-motivated'.
Quattrocchi, a friend of late prime minister Rajiv Gandhi and his family, is wanted in India for his role in the Bofors arms scandal.
