A BSP-BJP-RLD coalition government headed by Mayawati was sworn-in in Uttar Pradesh on Friday.
Mayawati was sworn-in along with 23 ministers belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Bahujan Samaj Party and the Rashtriya Lok Dal by Governor Vishnu Kant Shastri at an impressive ceremony in Lucknow.
Of the 23 ministers, 12 are from the BSP, nine belong to the BJP and two to the RLD. While 19 of them have cabinet ranks, four are ministers of state.
Union ministers Murli Manohar Joshi and Ajit Singh, BSP chief Kanshi Ram and former UP chief minister Rajnath Singh attended the ceremony.
