Terrorists beheaded two National Conference activists after abducting them from their houses at village Khaipora early on Tuesday, the police said.
The bodies of Abdul Jabbar Bhat and Abdul Khaliq Bhat were recovered from the Batapora forest in Handwara area of Kupwara, they said.
A massive hunt has been launched to nab the terrorists involved in the killing.
Meanwhile, in Jammu, five people, including two security personnel, were injured when two Improvised Explosive Devices exploded in Ramban and Aassar areas of Doda district on Monday, the police said.
Two Central Reserve Police Force jawans were injured when an IED exploded at Raghi Nullah in Assar area of Doda, they said, adding the injured were hospitalised.
