Santosh Yadav, who has twice conquered Mount Everest, is facing the worst crisis of her life.
The Rajasthan University has withheld her mark-sheet because she allegedly cheated in an examination.
Yadav, while appearing for Law - Part I examination in September this year, was allegedly caught copying by the Flying Squad during the Contract Law paper.
Although she had reportedly tendered a verbal apology, the Flying Squad registered a case against her for using 'unfair means'.
When the case went to the university committee, its members took a lenient view because of her 'Himalayan' stature and awarded pass marks -- 430 out of 900 -- without assessing her answer-sheet, and declared the result.
Some members of the law faculty, however, protested against the 'gross favouritism' and wrote to the vice chancellor demanding an independent probe into the incident.
University officials revealed that Yadav was awarded marks keeping the controller of examination in the dark.
When the issue came to light the university, last month, withheld her mark-sheet.
It issued a notification on October 3 cancelling Yadav's result.
A statement issued by the university said the result was declared by mistake and was now being 'withheld'.
Yadav is a resident of Sikar in Rajasthan and is currently untraceable.
