Another witness turns hostile in Salman poaching case

The black buck poaching case involving actor Salman Khan had another witness turning hostile on Friday at a local court in Jodhpur.

Deposing before Chief Judicial Magistrate Narsingh Dasvyas, Bhanwar Singh denied his testimony, recorded by the police on October 11, 1998, that he had taken the meat of the black bucks allegedly killed by Khan to the hotel kitchen.

He is the third witness to turn hostile in the case.

Singh said he was not present in Jodhpur on September 26, 1998, when the incident took place.

He alleged that the police kept him in confinement for two days and pressurised him to sign the statement they had prepared.

Khan was arrested for allegedly poaching endangered animals in the forests around Jodhpur.

The case against the actor was registered when he was in the town to shoot Sooraj Barjatya's Hum Saath Saath Hain.
